Before Vert Shock (Week 0)

Welcome back to my blog. In this article (and a series of articles following), I will be talking about my experience with the training program Vert Shock.


Let Me Introduce Myself Once More

Hello! My name is Aleksandar and I am a 22 year old sports enthusiast and Tourism and hospitality management student, living in Belgrade the capital of the Serbia. I've loved basketball for as long as I can remember, I tried playing it multiple times, but I was so bad at it. After 8 weeks of consistent practice, I became the best I have ever been. I am currently a permanent basketball team player for my university’s basketball team.

I am 5’11” tall. Considerably, I am short in comparison to most basketball players. So, as you can imagine, dunking a basketball was not an easy thing for me to do. Add a weak vertical jump to that, I was TERRIBLE. On top of that, I had very little time to train and practice my jump as I was swamped with school work. So my physique was extremely weak and that did not help my case. I was extremely annoyed that I could not get to my goal. After all, I am someone who loves getting what he wants. So, I decided that action needs to be taken immediately.

I saw an advertisement for Vert Shock online one day. I was a 100% sure that it was a scam, but I decided to do my research and look at the benefits and features provided. I liked what I saw. I mean, it was the only training program that promised guaranteed results and money back fully refunded if results are not achieved.

FIRST STEP INTO DUNKING WORLD

The first step in the right direction was signing up to the gym to increase my mobility. I knew I had the body build for a good physique, I just needed to work on it. With a good trainer and a consistent workout program, I was able to get on track to start the vertical jump training program. At this point, I had gotten my strength back to acceptable levels. Unfortunately, my regular training program had nothing to do with increasing my jump, so I was still far away from dunking.

My First Impression with vert shock

My initial thoughts on the website were that it is very motivating. It looks very satisfying and stylish and it looked like it’s regularly updated, unlike other websites I’ve seen in the past.

I am not an impulsive buyer by nature. I work hard to earn the money I make, so I wanted to do as much research as possible before taking that step. At first, it all seemed like promotions, but what immediately sold me was the fact that the website had many good reviews and showed tons of testimonials from customers and returning buyers. In addition, the website offers a full refund within 60 days if the customer is not satisfied with the results.

I had nothing to lose so I decided to try it out for myself.

Up until I reached the check out section, everything looked good and professional. I think that is because Adam Folker was considered a marketing genius when he was in college, so it’s no surprise.

Structure And Features Of The Vert Shock Program

The program contained HD explanatory videos, clarifying everything in detail. They tell you everything that you need to know so you can be sure you are following the training program exactly as it was designed by Folker.

The workouts do not require signing up at the gym or any weight-lifting. All you need is 45 minutes to an hour wherever you prefer. All you need is your bodyweight, and maybe a basketball every once in a while. Let’s hope you own one of those. :’)

THE vert shock 8-WEEK TRAINING PROGRAM

The workout program was broken down into three phases: pre-shock, shock and post-shock:

Pre shock

Pre-Shock Stage is the first week of the program. This week you are going to "shock your body" and prep for the weeks ahead. For six out of seven days you will have daily workouts, and a day of rest.

Shock phase

Weeks 4 to 7 are part of this stage. You will do four to six training sessions a week during this phase. Such routines include leg and core strength training, jumping-related movements and challenging plyometric exercises. Follow the guidelines to make all your workouts if you want to achieve maximum performance. If not, you will be able to see the desired results. In this stage you'll be up 5 to 8 inches vertical jump.

Post shock

This is the final stage of the program. During the final week, you’ll be doing six training sessions with just one day of rest. They will be pretty intense. After seven weeks of training you will feel somewhat rigid, so warm ups are extremely important. During this process you will only recover and improve. The effects of all the hard work you’ve done will be seen during this phase.


How high can i jump?

I measured my vertical before starting the program. I was at only 25 inches. You can measure your vertical using this application right here. I had an ambitious goal of reaching 37 inches. I know this period is going change my life forever, and I can’t wait to start training! Dont miss out my second week of progress from start to finish !

The program was fun and easy to follow i could dunk in less than 8 weeks and i gained 11 inches on week eight in no time.

It is the most effective program currently available due to my experience with other high priced programs
